Monday:         CLOSED
Tuesday:        11:30-5:00 pm
Wednesday:  11:30-5:00 pm​
Thursday:      11:30-5:00 pm​
Friday:            1:00-5:00 pm
Saturday:       10:00-3:30 pm
Sunday:          CLOSED

The Lyons Library Board meets on the second Thursday of the month at 7:00 pm, except during the Summer, in the Library at 279 8th St. Meetings are open to the public in-person.  Agenda & Minutes

Announcements

LIBRARY CLOSURE NOTICE
New windows on the way! The library will be closed during the windows renovation project. The anticipated closure will begin June 30 and go through July 18. The library will resume regular hours beginning Tuesday, July 21.
Storytime & the Summer Reading Program will continue as scheduled at the Lyons Memorial Park, next to City Hall.

Apply for a Library Card

In-Person: Visit the library during open hours. Bring photo ID and proof of current residence such as current postmarked mail. Children under 18 need a signature and ID from a parent or guardian.

Friends of the Lyons Library

Friends of the Lyons Library is a volunteer, non-profit organization. They are focused on the needs of the library and its community. Contact the library for ways to donate or volunteer with the “Friends”.

The next meeting will be Tuesday, September 8 at 6:30 pm. Meetings are held at the Old School Community Center, 22057 Emma St SE, in Mehama.

The purpose of the Friends of the Lyons Library is to:

  • Maintain an association of volunteer persons interested in books and libraries
  • Increase public awareness of the Lyons Public Library and its services
  • Raise funds for the benefit of the Lyons Public Library
